No matter how you like to use your images, sometimes it’s frustrating to look back at them and they haven’t quite turned out how you hoped for. Sometimes the lighting just wasn’t right for the camera but to the naked eye the landscape was perfect. For us, we like to keep photos looking as natural as possible and just use post production editing to add a bit more vibrance to a photo either because the lighting wasn’t right at the time, or we just thought the image looked slightly more dull in the photo than it did in real life. Our presets are very natural and will just add that extra pop and contrast you might like in your photos. As much as the over edited photos you see online could look creative, we try to keep it simple to show that you don’t need to be a master in software to take good pictures, although using presets does not diminish your creative skills. We can of course manually adjust photos but this saves a lot more time – time we could be using to create better content.

It’s hard for anyone to justify wasting time during the photo editing process. This is why Lightroom was created – so photographers could save time in the shooting process. Set up the shot as well as you can, point, click and shoot. Later, you can enhance or clean up your pictures using photo editing software such as Lightroom which offers the ability to apply a particular preset to one photo or many photos. You can use a preset and stop there with those enhancements or make some further tweaks to the picture. Think back to when you needed to edit individual images and how much time that took! Now with a simple click, you can sync your edits across an entire batch of photos – so if you want a consistent look throughout your recent trip or wedding photos, this will save so much of your time.
